Paulina Tandiono

Ms. Paulina Tandiono joined the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in June 2019 as a successful candidate of the UN Young Professionals Programme. In her current role, she specializes in human rights education and training issues, including supporting the coordination of the World Programme for Human Rights Education, which is currently in its fourth phase (2020-2024) and is dedicated to youth.

Prior to this, from 2017 – 2019, she worked at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Jakarta, Indonesia. In her role as a Protection Associate, she led capacity-building activities on the protection of refugees and asylum seekers in the country for various stakeholders, including immigration officials, national human rights institution staff, social workers and legal aid lawyers.

She holds an undergraduate degree in law from Universitas Sumatera Utara in Indonesia and a master’s degree in human rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom.
