Byambadorj Jamsran

Chief Commissioner of National Human Rights Commission, Mongolia

Mr. Jamsran (born 20 March 1954) is a Doctor of Judicial Science at Lomonosov Russian State University, Russian. Since October 2010, he has served as the Chief Commissioner of National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia. From 2005 to 2008, he was the Chief of Constitutional Court of Mongolia. In March 2004, he was member of Constitutional Court of Mongolia. He was member of Parliament from 1992-1996, 1996-2000, 2000-2004. Mr. Jamsran is also a professor of law, and has published over 30 articles and books on constitutional law. In 1977, he received Honorary Medal for Outstanding Service, and in 2001 a “Altangadas” medal. He was a Merited Lawyer in 2006. Mr. Jamsran received Bachelor of Laws (LLB.) at Lomonosov Russian State University, Russian in 1985.
