Dr Walecki possesses over 20 years of democracy assistance and governance experience working in more than 40 countries around the world. He also presents regularly at international conferences, seminars, and has written for numerous publications on democratization, political corruption, political financing, elections, political parties, gender equality and good governance.
A Polish citizen, Walecki holds a doctorate of philosophy in politics from St. Antony’s College at Oxford University and a master’s in Law from the Department of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.
He is a former Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence and a board member of the International Political Science Association Research Committee on Political Finance and Political Corruption.
