Mr. Shah Salman Khan is UNODC Project Coordinator for RFTF detention programme in Tajikistan. He has more than sixteen years of working in prisons and penal reform both at national and international level. He has served in the prison service of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan as a career prison officer, with UN Mission in Sudan as a corrections advisor, and other UN entities. Since 2017 Mr. Khan has worked in the field of management of VEPs and prevention of radicalization to violence in prisons with UNODC Indonesia, and with UNCTED in Kazakhstan, Uganda and Tunisia on the joint UN VEP project. Mr. Khan holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA.
