Information about the meeting with the Danish delegations to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

The goal of the meeting is to familiarize with the progress of democratic reforms in the field of human rights, as well as the main activities of the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
 
During the meeting, the members of the delegation were given detailed information about the ongoing reforms in the field of human rights in recent years, in particular, cooperation with the structures of the UN and the OSCE.
 
Furthermore, in the course of the conversation, information is provided on the activities of the national human rights institutions, the Business Ombudsman Institute, aimed at protecting the socio-economic rights of citizens, The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Oliy Majlis, as well as the main functions and activities of the National Human Rights Center, in particular, special emphasis was placed on the interaction of the Center with the Chambers of Oliy Majlis (Parliament).
 
At the time of the meeting, the parties discussed issues on combating corruption, measures taken by Uzbekistan to prevent the radicalization of society, especially youth and ensuring the rights to freedom of religion, as well as interaction with the Danish Institute for Human Rights.    
 
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop bilateral relations in the area of human rights.
