Asian Human Rights Forum takes place in Samarkand

Achievements and problems in the field of human rights protection are being discussed these days in Samarkand, the “Xabar 24” correspondent reports.

There is an Asian Forum dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. There were representatives of the United Nations and other international organizations, leaders of Asian institutions to protect human rights, including the delegation from Kazakhstan. Participants will discuss the role of the executive, the legislature and the courts in the protection of human rights. The heads of relevant national institutions of Central Asia presented the results of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Development Program. According to the results of the Asian Forum is scheduled to sign the Samarkand Declaration on Human Rights.

- The topical issues discussed at the forum are the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN strategy, which is a large-scale program. These 17 goals cover almost all spheres of vital activity. In this context, we can say that almost all policy documents, initiated by the head of state - President Nazarbayev, corresponds to the objectives of Sustainable Development Goals.
