Tashkent to host the International Forum on Youth Rights

On 23 October, an international forum “Youth Rights: Opportunities and Protection Mechanisms” will be held in Tashkent. This conference commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 30th anniversary of the Vienna World Conference on Human Rights.

The main national organizer of the upcoming international forum is the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights. All youth organizations in our country take an active part in the international conference.

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and its Regional Office for Central Asia, the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the UN Development Program in our country, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) are involved in organizing the international forum ), Coordinator of OSCE projects in Uzbekistan, Friedrich Ebert Foundation and other international partners.

The forum will be attended in online and offline formats by domestic and foreign experts, leaders of youth organizations from all countries of Central Asia, youth parliaments, national human rights institutions, civil society institutions, the media, as well as representatives of international and regional youth rights organizations.

The international forum is scheduled to discuss the Central Asian Declaration on the Rights of Youth, which will serve as a solid basis for new efforts and innovative initiatives in the future in the field of youth rights.
